As a Senior UX Engineer, own how solutions are architected and define the team’s code and documentation standards. Worked across web development, technical writing and enterprise systems support for a regional healthcare system. Supported enterprise-level software driving payroll, finance and materials management. Designed and built relational SQL Server, MySQL and Oracle databases from scratch and connected disparate systems with tailor-made interfaces using SQL, Drupal Feeds and REST APIs. Managed internal and public-facing Drupal sites in a self-hosted environment and developed the organization’s first mobile app. Modernized 100+ custom Java and PHP web applications. Authored the first content standards policy and style guide, revamped developer on-call documentation and built online training tools that shortened ticket-to-resolution times.
Grew an administrative role into hands-on technical work that launched a career in technology. Served as systems administrator for the warranty claims software, managing access control and UI configuration. Wrote SQL to build advanced analytical reports (early OLAP/Business Intelligence) and partnered with the IT team to design data warehouses for claims analysis.
